Why Your Resume Doesn't Generate Interviews

Your resume can take you a long way, but not if it doesn't communicate your unique value. And not if you submit it in the wrong format or fail to include the right keywords.

Because of changes in how resumes are processed, you now have TWO audiences to please: The human being who reviews your resume and the electronic processing system that is likely to score and rank it. In addition to providing a compelling "sales pitch" for the human reader, your resume must be submitted in the correct file format – and contain the right keywords – if you expect it to get through the screening process and generate interviews.

In short, resume writing has become a science as much as an art. Design and layout are still important for the human reader, but resumes that are submitted incorrectly or don't have a high percentage of matching keywords will be screened out – and probably won't be seen by human eyes at all.

At Multicultural Resumes, we know how to create resumes that can open doors and generate interviews.
